About The Position

As the People Operations Generalist, you will be the primary architect of the employee journey, ensuring that every "moment that matters"—from the first day to the last—is handled with precision and care. Reporting to the Director, People Operations, you are the engine that keeps our people processes running smoothly, accurately, and at scale. This is a high-impact role where operational excellence meets hospitality. You will own the end-to-end execution of onboarding and offboarding, serving as the face of the People team for new hires and departing employees alike. Whether you are navigating the complexities of multi-state compliance or coordinating relocation logistics for a new leader, your goal is to provide a "frictionless" experience that allows our team to focus on what they do best.

Requirements

  • Lifecycle Expert: You have a deep understanding of the employee lifecycle. You take pride in managing everything from I-9 verifications and background checks to the final separation paperwork, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Master of Logistics: You thrive on coordination. Moving a new hire across the country—managing travel, housing, and move logistics—isn't a chore for you; it’s an opportunity to provide a world-class "Day 1" experience.
  • Compliance Minded: You are well-versed in multi-state employment laws and mandatory notices. You treat employee records and data integrity with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Process-Driven: You love a good SLA. You are energized by executing transactions (job changes, promotions, leaves of absence) with speed and 100% accuracy, knowing that these details deeply impact people's lives and pay.
  • Supportive Navigator: You are a natural first point of contact. You have the empathy and clarity needed to answer employee questions about HR policies, benefits enrollment, and company procedures.
  • Policy Architect: You have a knack for clear communication. You enjoy maintaining the HR knowledge base and keeping the employee handbook current, ensuring our policies are accessible and easy to understand.

Benefits

  • Hut 8 offers a benefits and wellness program that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as paid time off.
