About The Position

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. As a People Operations Senior Generalist, you will deliver a seamless employee experience across the full HR lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, payroll administration, compliance, and benefits management. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, ensuring policies are applied consistently and processes run smoothly. The role balances hands-on operational execution with strategic problem-solving, supporting programs that enhance organizational culture and employee engagement. You will also partner cross-functionally to optimize People & Culture processes, support HR systems, and maintain accurate reporting. Operating in a remote, collaborative setting, you will have the opportunity to influence both the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–6 years of progressive HR or People Operations experience, including multi-state payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, wage and hour compliance, FLSA classification, and leave administration.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and reporting.
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with discretion, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) and experience with PEO platforms (e.g., TriNet) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll processing and audits, ensuring accuracy, multi-state compliance, and support for hourly employees.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including I-9 verification, training, exit interviews, and employee farewells.
  • Manage the People & Culture inbox, triaging requests and ensuring timely responses.
  • Administer employee benefits, 401(k), leave of absence programs, and workplace accommodations (ADA, medical, religious).
  • Maintain HRIS systems, employee records, organizational charts, and change documentation.
  • Track People & Culture expenses, manage budgets, and support policy education and enforcement.
  • Coordinate employee training programs and support company-wide HR initiatives and team operations.
