People Operations Manager The People Operations Manager is responsible for performing people and HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. Functional areas include: recruitment/employment, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits management, employee relations, training, performance management, compensation, governance, compliance, and policy administration. Reporting to the COO, the role is responsible for optimizing and scaling the operational infrastructure for people and HR functions. The role will own the HR systems and data.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred, and a minimum of five (5) years of HR experience required
Working knowledge of government rules and regulations governing human resources
Experience establishing and enforcing HR policies and procedures
Experience establishing compensation packages
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
Excellent Google Workspace skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team of professionals
Candidates must agree to undergo a full background check
Due to the nature of this position it is only open to US citizens

Nice To Haves

Experience in the robotics industry (or technology industry) is a strong plus
Advanced knowledge of HRIS architecture, system configuration, integrations and workflow automation is a plus

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of onboarding, offboarding, and new employee orientation.
Manages the recruiting process, including internal and external recruiters, and the applicant tracking system; coordinates and attends career fairs.
Responsible for planning and day-to-day benefits management, including renewals, open enrollment, and 401(k).
Manages 401(k) nondiscrimination testing and works with auditors and recordkeepers to prepare and submit 5500s and similar forms.
Handles employee relations; provides advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
Builds scalable people programs that align with values and support growth.
Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Oversee immigration processes to ensure compliance with work authorization requirements.
Manages payroll and assists with employee timesheets as needed.
Establishes and maintains HR records and reports.
Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless system integrations and data alignment.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
