About The Position

After Brightline Florida completed the first passenger rail system connecting Miami and Orlando, Brightline West was formed to connect Las Vegas and Southern California through the nation’s first true high-speed, electric passenger rail system. Reaching speeds of more than 186 miles per hour, this 218-mile high-speed rail service will take passengers from Las Vegas to the Greater Los Angeles area twice as fast as the normal drive time. Reaching speeds of more than 186 miles per hour, this 218-mile service will take passengers from Las Vegas to the Greater Los Angeles area in half the typical drive time. We are looking for talented individuals who share our pioneering mindset and have a bright vision for redefining the future of American travel. As a People & Culture Intern, you will support the People & Culture (Human Resources) team in Las Vegas, NV, gaining hands‑on exposure to core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, data management, employee relations, and people operations. This internship is an educational experience designed to help students develop professional HR skills while learning how people strategies support business success. The Summer People & Culture Internship offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical experience across multiple areas of Human Resources. Interns will work closely with People & Culture team members on day‑to‑day operations, special projects, and process improvements, while developing a broad understanding of HR best practices.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in‑person in the Las Vegas, NV office
  • Students must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in Human Resources, People Operations, or organizational development
  • Experience with data entry, administrative support, or HR‑related systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑service mindset
  • Experience working on group projects, student organizations, or prior internships

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate tracking, interview coordination, and recruiting events
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation preparation, and employee documentation
  • Help maintain and organize employee data and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations activities, including documentation and process coordination
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and communications for internal stakeholders
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects related to people operations, engagement, and process improvement
  • Attend team meetings and contribute updates on assigned tasks and projects
  • Gain exposure to employment practices, workplace policies, and people‑focused initiatives in a growing organization

  • Students are responsible for all arrangements of housing and travel.
  • Students are expected to work a full-time schedule throughout the course of our Summer Internship Program and must be available to participate for the entirety of the Summer Internship Program, running June 1st - July 31st.
