About The Position

The People Coordinator is a dynamic and multifaceted role responsible for supporting HR functions, payroll and benefits administration, and culture initiatives. This position ensures compliance, facilitates seamless onboarding, and champions programs that reflect TVG’s values of inclusion, collaboration, and excellence.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HR coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, benefits administration, and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (TriNet, Smartsheet experience a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Plan and coordinate HR/Wellness Lunch & Learns, team-building activities, and company culture initiatives.
  • Organize events that celebrate employees and strengthen engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager to maintain a positive and efficient workplace environment.
  • Support hiring managers with recruiting tasks, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and background checks.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including orientations, TriNet trainings, and Smartsheet dashboards.
  • Ensure new hires feel welcomed, connected, and engaged from day one.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Provide HR guidance on sensitive matters such as performance management, terminations, and pay changes.
  • Prepare offboarding packets and create HR templates as needed.
  • Coordinate benefits administration, including insurance updates, open enrollment, HSA/FSA, and 401(k) support.
  • Assist with leave requests while ensuring compliance and compassion.
  • Support payroll accuracy and timely processing, including reconciliations and tax notices.
  • Maintain secure and accurate employee records.
  • Organize enrichment programs like Thrive After Five and Lunch & Learns to promote growth and well-being.
  • Plan cultural events that celebrate diversity and foster community.
