About The Position

The People & Culture Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the People & Culture team and helping deliver a positive, inclusive employee experience across the organization. This role works closely with the Director of People Operations on people systems and processes and partners with the Director of Culture & Inclusion to support initiatives that foster connection, engagement, and a sense of belonging. This is a great opportunity for someone who is service‑oriented, detail‑driven, and excited to contribute to a mission‑driven cultural institution.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orchestra personnel, payroll, or benefits administration role
Experience supporting high‑volume recruitment, onboarding, or employee lifecycle processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospitality, arts, or cultural institutions preferred
Experience supporting senior leadership is a plus
Bilingual capability is a plus

Responsibilities

You play a key role in coordinating pre‑hire and onboarding, creating a smooth and welcoming experience for new employees
First point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and P&C processes
Maintain employee data in the HRIS/HCM, including benefits administration
Support payroll and HRIS/HCM administration with the Payroll Manager and Director, People Operations
Assist with workforce, benefits, and P&C data tracking and reporting
Maintain HR and benefits documentation and support compliance and audits (including retirement plans)
Support employee engagement, belonging, and learning initiatives
Provide scheduling and administrative support to the VP, People & Culture
