About The Position

Based at the Mandarin Oriental New York within the People & Culture Department in New York City, the People & Culture Coordinator will be responsible for providing information as well as the maintenance of all MONYC personnel records. The individual will also maintain and update the HRIS/HRIM system and communicate related information to colleagues. The People & Culture Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Director of People & Culture with an ultimate reporting line to the Director of Human Resources.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years administrative experience in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience in luxury environment or high-end establishment
  • Previous experience with HRIS/HRIM Systems i.e. Workday, Ascentis.
  • Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficient in using Canva and creating posters and other promotions material
  • Excellent communication skills both written/verbal.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Requires high levels of interact with all members of staff. Possess high degree of stamina, agility and flexibility.
  • Able to present themselves with an uplifting personality as well as presenting a high degree of confidentially.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Administrative support to entire People & Culture Team.
  • Own the colleague recruitment cycle, including job postings, interviews, reference checks, offer letter generation, announcements, and onboarding.
  • Answer telephones, make copies, send faxes and correspondence, sort and distribute mail.
  • Route PAF'S, purchase orders, check references, expense reports.
  • Enter and maintain update colleague information in our HRIS/HRIM Systems.
  • Assist colleagues with inquires related to personal days, sick days, vacation requests, direct deposits, and other related forms.
  • Assist colleagues with access to payroll and human resources platforms.
  • Prepare employment verification and other letters and notices, as required.
  • Route and send colleague birthday and anniversary cards.
  • Manage event planning and execution of human resources related events.
  • Assists Learning and Development with new colleague orientation.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with benefit enrolment and reporting.
