About The Position

Work Arrangement Role can site remotely, anywhere in the U.S., unless you are within 50 miles of a GM hub. If you are within 50 miles of one of our GM hubs in Mountain View, CA, Warren, MI, or Austin, TX you will be required to work a Hybrid schedule - 3 days a week onsite. The Role GM’s People Analytics Center of Excellence is seeking a curious, data-driven People Analytics Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll be deployed across different parts of our business, partnering with People Analytics Consultants to deliver actionable insights that inform strategic talent decisions, improve organizational effectiveness, and enhance the employee experience. You’ll leverage your analytical skills and HR data knowledge to help us advance our analytics capabilities and enable data-driven decisions at scale. What’s in it for you? Requirements

  • 3+ years of client-facing (internal or external) People Analytics, or Human Capital Consulting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in inferential statistics (e.g., correlation, regression) and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, R, or Python (advanced tools preferred, but not required).
  • Solid understanding of HR data and employee lifecycle processes (talent acquisition, development, workforce planning, employee listening, etc.).
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to leverage multiple internal and external data sources to enable data-driven insights and inform strategic talent decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to business leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, IO Psychology) and/or a degree in HR is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple concurrent projects and adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • This role is based remotely, but if the selected candidate lives within a specific mile radius of a GM hub, they will be expected to report to the location three times a week or other frequency dictated by your manager}.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex people data and deliver clear, actionable insights to support strategic talent decisions across multiple business units.
  • Work independently to determine the best analytical approach for each project, while collaborating closely with People Analytics Consultants.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business leaders in a compelling, accessible way.
  • Support projects related to organizational health, hiring and retention, workforce planning, employee experience, and more.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of People Analytics solutions by sharing feedback and ideas.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work that drives the greatest impact for the business.
