THE POSITION: We are looking for a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist who is passionate about patient care and seeks continued growth in their professional skills. Our therapists evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to patients suffering from injuries, disabilities, or diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further injury. This role involves developing treatment plans based on medical referrals and individual patient goals. Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical processes and responsibilities.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, coordinate, and perform a broad variety of tasks and stay focused on the objective in a high-stress environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings.
  • Certificates desired (preferred through APTA or Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute: Pelvic Function Level 1 – “Introduction to Pelvic Health” Pelvic Function Level 2C – “Men’s Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation”

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administer manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
  • Comfortable working with all genders.
  • Comfortable treating the following, but not limited to pelvic floor weakness/hypertonicity, pelvic prolapses, urinary and bowel incontinence, dyspareunia, vaginismus, pre/post-vestibulectomy, pre/post-hysterectomy, pregnancy/post-partum, coccyx/tailbone pain, abdominal pain, etc.
  • Monitor and document patient progress in a timely manner, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies to improve recovery.
  • Must maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
  • Comply with federal, state, and professional regulations.
  • Document all assessments, plans, procedures, and pertinent interactions regarding the patient’s treatment in physical therapy via electronic documentation system.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the clinic by working together as a team and assisting others when needed.
  • Keep all patient interaction confidential with the informed consent of the patient.
