About The Position

The Developer III is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying secure, scalable applications to support complex business processes. This role requires translating user stories and business requirements into technical solutions while enhancing and maintaining existing applications for performance and reliability. Working in a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment, the Developer III partners with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, contributes to architectural decisions, and acts as a subject matter expert in debugging and performance optimization. We are seeking an Application Developer to join our team. This role is open to candidates with a range of experience levels. The final level (Developer III or lead) will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Are you ready to make a difference? The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to translate complex user specifications and business requirements into efficient, maintainable, and high-quality code.
  • Advanced knowledge of data access methods to create, read, update, and delete data.
  • Knowledge of industry architecture.
  • Ability to write technical and business documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of utility usage and tools.
  • Proficient with utilizing methodology concepts to support the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • In-depth understanding of database concepts and design principles.
  • Awareness of current and emerging industry trends, tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Proficient utilizing versioning tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of a Computer Science program from a Technical Trade School preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of PEGA application development experience required
  • Pega Certified Senior Systems Architect required

Nice To Haves

  • Pega Healthcare Framework, Sales Automation, Customer Service, or Customer Decision Hub experience.
  • Experience with data modeling and a strong database background.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure application solutions to support complex business requirements.
  • Interpret user stories and business needs into technical specifications and actionable development tasks.
  • Enhance, refactor, and maintain existing applications with a focus on performance, stability, and scalability.
  • Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and fellow developers in an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in debugging and resolving complex application issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through comprehensive unit testing and participation in peer reviews.
  • Contribute to architectural and design decisions, offering insights based on experience and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation for systems, codebases, and development processes.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions that improve productivity and system performance.
