About The Position

Program Development and Oversight Demonstrate knowledge of the Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) role, including recovery principles, philosophy, and the NC Peer Support Specialist Certification Code of Ethics Support and promote the role and value of CPSS within the organization Design, implement, and evaluate peer support programs aligned with organizational goals Ensure services reflect best practices in recovery and wellness Conduct at least one in-person, telehealth, or audio-only contact with each beneficiary within 90 days of Peer Support Services (PSS) initiation, and at least every 90 days thereafter, to: Monitor progress and program effectiveness Review and document progress toward Person-Centered Plan (PCP) goals Monitor program performance, collect data, and report on outcomes B. Staff Supervision and Training Recruit, train, and supervise Peer Support Specialists Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Collaborate with CPSS staff to assess strengths and areas for growth and develop individualized supervision plans Provide administrative and supportive supervision at least monthly, or more frequently as needed Foster a supportive, collaborative, and empowering team culture C. Community Engagement Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders Promote peer support services to diverse populations Advocate for the value of lived experience in service delivery D. Quality Assurance and Compliance Plan and assign work, monitor performance, and evaluate program staff Facilitate staff meetings and conduct routine reviews of service documentation Determine and manage appropriate caseload sizes for CPSS staff Ensure program practices comply with funding requirements, ethical standards, and applicable state rules and regulations Assist in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures E. Administrative and Reporting Duties Prepare and submit regular reports for internal leadership and external funders
