About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency in Arizona, providing residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is a non-profit provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, utilizing cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models. The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) assigned to PCMH/OTP Community-Based Services will perform one-on-one support and assist with day-to-day problem-solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community. The PSS utilizes best practices of assertive engagement, harm reduction, and peer support to engage with members in the community and the facility, embracing the recovery philosophy and promoting a safe and inclusive recovery environment for clients.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required
  • Current AZ Driver’s License (Valid and in good standing)
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or able to obtain a CPSS certification within 90 days (3 months) of hire
  • Must have Fingerprint card

Nice To Haves

  • Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred
