Pier 360 was founded in 1995 as a mental health support and advocacy nonprofit organization led by individuals with lived experience. In the 2000's it expanded to include mental health and/or substance use recovery, and all employees of the organization self-identify as being in recovery. Pier 360 (formerly CVAB) is a peer-run organization encouraging self-determination and self-sufficiency for people in mental health and substance use recovery. The heart of our agency is peer-to-peer support, as we are people in recovery who want to support others on their life's journey. Pier 360 is driven by our Core Focus and Core Values. The Opportunity Pier 360 is seeking a WA Certified Peer Counselor to provide supportive housing and other peer support services to individuals in mental health and substance use recovery. We offer you a great opportunity to give back to your community. All Pier 360 programs employ people living in mental health and/or substance use recovery. In the Peer Support-Housing role, you will support peers in need of obtaining and maintaining stable housing. The Peer Support- Housing staff performs a wide range of tasks to support people living their own lives and directing their own recovery, healing, and wellness.
