Peer Recovery Support Specialist – St. Rita's Medical Center Job Summary: The Peer Recovery Specialist provides direct patient care under the supervision of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (required)
- Certified Peer Specialist per state guidelines (required)
- 1 year in healthcare, social services or human services setting (required)
Nice To Haves
- National Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Facilitates individual and/or support groups (within scope) and may participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings.
- Provides post-discharge follow-up, along with community resource knowledge and navigation.
- Delivers overdose prevention and education on Naloxone utilization .
- Participates in continued education and in-service training.
