Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services. The role of the Peer Recovery Support Specialist is to provide outreach and support to assist individuals who are experiencing addiction to opioids or an overdose crisis. Peer Recovery Support Specialists should be outgoing and comfortable in all settings, as establishing connections with local emergency departments, shelters, and encampments is a crucial aspect of this role. The Peer Recovery Support Specialist will develop trust and rapport in these communities, with the goal of connecting individuals to treatment and housing resources to help meet their recovery goals. By sharing their own experiences with behavioral health issues, treatment, and recovery, Peer Support Specialists encourage and support clients to engage with treatment and take an active role in their recovery. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport with clients, along with comfort working outside of an office setting and willingness to travel locally each day.
