About The Position

Community Alliance is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Part-Time Peer Recovery Specialist to join our residential team. This position weekends and rotating morning and evening shifts This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for supporting individuals in recovery and helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for residents. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting residents through daily supervision, group engagement, and recovery-oriented care within our residential setting. Position Type: Part-Time Location: Residential Program, Community Alliance

Requirements

  • Peer Recovery Specialist certification required based
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead groups and build rapport with residents
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism in a residential environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise residents in the residential setting to help maintain safety, structure, and a positive environment
  • Conduct group sessions focused on recovery support, coping skills, life skills, wellness, and encouragement
  • Provide peer support and serve as a positive role model for residents in recovery
  • Assist residents with daily routines, community living expectations, and program participation
  • Complete assigned residential tasks and support overall daily operations of the program
  • Observe resident behavior and report concerns, incidents, or changes to the appropriate supervisor
  • Help encourage resident engagement, accountability, and progress toward personal goals
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with documentation and other program-related duties as assigned
