NACC's mission is to promote the health & wellness of mind, body, and spirit of Native American families. We offer a full range of healthcare services that include Medical, Behavioral Health, Dental, and Substance Abuse. This position is to work with the team to expand access to MAT through outreach and education to support individuals and families in obtaining and maintaining stable housing (e.g., financial support, resources, training), education and jobs, and promote and increase awareness and access to comprehensive health care, case management, and chemical health treatment. Under the supervision of IOP Manager, the Peer Recovery Specialist provides excellent customer service in all functional areas of their work which includes regular interaction with clients, Red Lake and NACC employees, partners, and the community. Peer Recovery Specialist services are to be provided before, during and after substance use disorder (SUD) treatment to help individuals connect with resources that support recovery. individuals who are willing to share their personal recovery experience, and often engage with clients to offer reassurance, reduce fears, answer questions, support motivation and convey hope.
