Supervision Received: The Peer Recovery Specialist is based out of Rio Blanco County and supervised by the Recovery Program Manager. Supervision Exercised: None. The Role: The Peer Recovery Specialist provides individualized recovery support, guidance, and coaching to adults and families struggling with substance use disorder. This position also includes planning and coordinating RISE community events, as well as building and maintaining partnerships with local community organizations. This position requires strong communication, clerical/administrative skills, collaboration and empathy, an ability to work well independently and under high stress, and commitment to healthy boundaries. A successful candidate will bring problem-solving and people skills as well as a strong ability to make decisions to ensure individuals and families are fully supported to consistently deliver high quality services with impact and excellence.
