About The Position

The Santé Group is seeking a Part-Time Peer Recovery Specialist (weekends) to join our Baltimore County team in Timonium, MD.

As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will provide mobile crisis services, which may include ongoing peer assessments, crisis intervention techniques and stabilization, and developing crisis plans for clients. You will serve as the on-site resource for clinical information and partner with all involved parties, including but not limited to families, friends, and community providers. We are seeking a candidate who can work in-person shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of related experience.
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) OR willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment (Sante will pay for your certification if you do not have it at the time of hire)
• At least two (2) years in full recovery AND three (3) years of lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Self-identify as a Peer and provide peer support to consumers and families.
• Assist in performing on-scene assessments, including but not limited to danger, suicide, and environmental assessments.
• Perform crisis intervention and stabilization, including de-escalation, crisis planning, and implementation.
• Create appropriate referral recommendations and develop treatment plans using available agency and community resources.
• Partner with local law enforcement and other community providers.
• Complete documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal, state, and county regulations.
