New River Valley Community Services' Same Day Access is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist/Supervisor! The SDA Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor position supervises certified peer recovery specialists and provides direct and indirect client support services. Works directly with the Office of Peer Supports and Recovery Services and provides networking with statewide Peer Advocacy Groups. Provides non-clinical, person-centered wellness-focused support to engage consumers in treatment and promote the use of the consumer's wellness recovery plan. The Peer Recovery Specialist shares their firsthand lived experiences with recovery to inspire hope, increase engagement in treatment and in their communities, and support consumers in articulating personal goals for wellness, recovery, resiliency, and self-advocacy. The Peer Recovery Specialist will function within the SDA team to connect with consumers first entering the system. The Peer Recovery Specialist will receive Coordinated Individual Supervision with the Office of Peer Supports and Recovery Supervisor, Program Manager, and Peer Support Group Supervision.
