This position plays a crucial role in the journey of recovery and family support. This position is essential in providing hope, encouragement, and support through a community-based approach. This direct support position employs a Two-Generation strategy, focusing on strengthening protective factors and building adult capacities. Leveraging their guidance and lived experience, this position empowers individuals to make positive changes in their lives and break the cycle of substance use issues, or promotes protective factors within family resilience. By fostering a sense of community and connection, they create a safe space for individuals to share their struggles and success. Our direct support workers understand that every journey is unique and are there to support individuals where they are at, which includes supporting multiple pathways in recovery.
