If it’s possible, you will find it at Atrium Health—the leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving North Carolina and South Carolina. We invite APPs to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and progressive visionaries together in our Levine Children’s Hospital team in Charlotte. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology , Hepatology, and Nutrition at Atrium Health Levine Children's is seeking an advanced practice practitioner to join our growing outpatient pediatric GI practice. You will work with a talented and collegial group of 14 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers, 5 registered dietitians, 2 dedicated pediatric psychologists, 2 licensed clinical social workers, and an outstanding nursing team and support staff. The practice is based at the Levine Children's Specialty Center on the campus of Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital, with multiple satellite offices throughout the greater Charlotte region. Our division provides comprehensive services for all children's digestive conditions and has been ranked in the US News & World Report top 25 programs in the country for the last 3 years. LCH has repeatedly been ranked among the Best Children's Hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, most recently in seven pediatric specialties for 2024-2025, including Urology, Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Nephrology, Cancer, Orthopedics, and Pulmonology and Lung Surgery. The growing academic department brings exciting opportunities for innovative patient care, team-based care models, teaching, and research. Position: This APP position will be a hybrid role to include both inpatient and outpatient coverage, offering a varied patient population. When outpatient, the APP will have their own clinic template with a major focus on long-term management of our large population of enterally tube fed patients (i.e gastrostomy tube, gastrojejunostomy tube), and patients with general gastroenterology conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease, constipation, abdominal pain, failure to thrive, and milk protein intolerance. Our outpatient APPs also work collaboratively with our inpatient APPs to ensure excellent hospital follow-up for patients needing our services. While inpatient, the APP will see hospitalized patients in collaboration with the gastroenterology attending physicians. The inpatient GI service is primarily a consultation service offering recommendations to the primary team (general pediatrics, PICU, Cardiology, NICU or hematology/oncology), but at times it has primary patients. The candidate will have excellent mentorship from current experienced GI APP's and supportive supervising physicians. This position has no nighttime call or weekend responsibilities. There are also opportunities for involvement in clinical research and quality improvement projects.
