Join the Department of Pediatrics as a Residency Program Administrator. The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Residency Program Administrator to join our dynamic and collaborative team. We are a vibrant academic residency program dedicated to training the next generation of pediatricians as expert clinicians, educators, and researchers. The residency program includes 48 categorical residents and 16 combined Pediatrics/Emergency Medicine residents, supported by a leadership team consisting of the Program Director, four Faculty Associate Directors, and ten Core Faculty members. The Residency Program Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the operation of medical education for the residency program for Pediatrics by providing administrative, organizational, and operational support. This individual will work closely with the Program Director, faculty, residents, and other staff members to ensure the program runs efficiently and effectively. The program coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities of the medical education committee, timely completion of items requested of GME and ACGME, and monitoring work hours to ensure compliance with ACGME and program requirements, onboarding new residents, managing timekeeping and scheduling, supporting the evaluation process, credential verification, and assisting with the overall program setup. The ideal candidate will have experience with Graduate Medical Education (GME). Primary Location: Banner University Medical Center Tucson 1625 N Campbell Ave Schedule: This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Weekends and evening events may require flexibility with work schedule. Banner University Medical Group is our nonprofit faculty practice plan associated with the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine in Phoenix and Tucson. Our 1,100-plus clinicians provide primary and specialty care to patients at highly ranked Banner - University Medical Centers and dozens of clinics while providing mentorship to more than 1,200 residents and fellows. POSITION SUMMARY This position facilitates the operations of medical education and supports the activities required for accreditation, recruitment, and effective operation of the medical education program. This position is responsible for organizing and documenting all medical education activities for an assigned program(s). Provides administrative support to program leadership, faculty, residents and department committees as assigned.
