Pediatric Readiness Coordinator

As the Pediatric Readiness Coordinator, you will lead statewide efforts to improve pediatric and obstetric emergency readiness in rural hospitals and EMS agencies across Indiana. You will assess current readiness levels, develop improvement plans, coordinate training and technical assistance, and track progress against CMS-aligned performance benchmarks. This role involves extensive statewide travel, engagement with hospital administrators and emergency department leaders, and collaboration with maternal and child health experts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and ensure that rural emergency departments are equipped to deliver high-quality pediatric and obstetric care.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in senior project management, preferably in public health, emergency preparedness, hospital/EMS operations, or maternal/child health
  • Familiarity with state health department operations, grants management, and coordination with healthcare entities, hospitals, and EMS systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-site improvement initiatives
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Indiana
