The hours are Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. You will work 5 days one week and 4 days the next week - (72 hours in a 2-week pay period). Extra day off is not always the same. There is also a holiday rotation. No weekends. Experience with pediatric patients and/or ortho experience preferred but not required. Address of the clinic: 1465 S. Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• One additional year of training and one year relevant orthopedic experience
• Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pediatric patients and/or ortho experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Applies and removes splints and casts.
• Repairs, maintains and adjusts casting material during treatment regimen as necessary for patient safety and comfort.
• Assesses cast material needs and application techniques for patients.
• Measures and fits patients for hinged braces, orders appliances and documents measurements and results.
• Provides patient and family education regarding cast/splint application, care and removal.
• Documents events in the patient's medical record (blood pressures, etc.).
• Respects and maintains confidentiality of patient's medical record.
• Provides escort for orthopedic patients within clinic when necessary.
• Participates in telephone screening of cast patients for cast education, referral to nurse, physician and appointment desk.
• Assists with surgical procedures done in the procedure room.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
