Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Valid Michigan Registered Nurse License
Nurse Practitioner Certification (AANP)
Pediatric Nurse Certification Board (PNCB)
2–3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Strong knowledge of pediatric diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
Familiarity with EMR systems
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
Clinical, indoor healthcare setting
Regular exposure to patients and communicable diseases
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform clinical procedures as required

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
Perform routine, annual, and problem-focused physical examinations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and best practices.
Prescribe medications and counsel patients and caregivers on proper use and potential side effects.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work, imaging, and other assessments.
Educate patients and parents/guardians on disease prevention, wellness, and healthy behaviors.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for complex or specialized cases.
Refer patients to appropriate specialists when conditions exceed scope of practice.
Perform primary care procedures including immunizations, suturing, splinting, wound care, and cultures.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Maintain regular and routine onsite attendance.
