About The Position

Children’s Wisconsin is a nationally recognized health system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children, providing primary care, specialty care, urgent care, emergency care, community health services, foster and adoption services, child and family counseling, child advocacy services, and family resource centers. The Day Surgery team plays a vital role in supporting children and families during outpatient surgical procedures, and they are seeking compassionate and detail-oriented professionals to join their dedicated team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience)
  • 2 years of prior nursing experience
  • A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin (proof of license required on or before first day of employment)
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required
  • One of the following certifications/licenses: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council), License RN-Registered Nurse (State of Wisconsin), License RN-Registered Nurse (AZ Compact - State of Arizona), License RN-Registered Nurse (ND Compact - State of North Dakota), License RN-Registered Nurse (OH Compact - State of Ohio), License RN-Registered Nurse (TN Compact - State of Tennessee)

Responsibilities

  • Being a partner in the care management team
  • Providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care
  • Delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment
