The Neurodiagnostic Monitoring Tech is responsible for the continuous observation, review, and documentation of electroencephalographic (EEG) data from patients undergoing diagnostic and/or long-term video EEG monitoring. Working under the supervision of the Neurophysiology leadership team and in collaboration with the physicians and clinical staff, the Technologist ensures accurate, high-quality recordings, identifies and reports significant clinical and technical events, and supports patient safety and care outcomes through timely notification. Summary of Essential Duties: Monitors long term Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings in real-time for quality, seizure activity, and patient safety. Responds appropriately to patients for clinical events, including seizures or changes in neurological status during monitoring. Maintains accurate documentation, including event annotation, patient behavior, and technical observations. Participates in on-call coverage, extended monitoring shifts, and holiday/weekend rotations as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic Life Support from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred
  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist certification from ABRET preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience in Neurology preferred
