Pediatric Medical Home Childcare Worker
About The Position
KenCrest is seeking Childcare Workers to provide quality care and support to our medically fragile pediatric residents at our Children’s Transitional Care Homes. Our Children’s Homes serve as a steppingstone between the hospital and the family residence. Our Care Teams train and prepare parents and guardians to manage their children’s needs for when they are back in the family home with their loved ones. Our qualified I/DD and social work professionals concurrently assess the children for any potential intellectual or development disabilities. As a Childcare Worker, you will perform routine childcare and activities of daily living, participate in and carry out developmental activities, implement goal plans and behavioral management programs, assist with meal preparation, general housekeeping functions and transportation for social and medical appointments, and provide overall support to the children and the program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clear criminal record and other background checks in accordance with state requirements
Nice To Haves
- Childcare or experience in child development or education (preferred)
- Experience with medically fragile children (preferred)
- AED Infant/Child CPR certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
