About The Position

Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity Where Community Spirit Meets Scenic Splendor! We are seeking a BC Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists and 2.5 pediatric intensivists at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, a highly regarded and renowned, community hospital setting in southeast Idaho. What You Can Expect Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a regional medical center which draws patients from throughout Idaho, Western Wyoming, and Southern Montana. Serve a diverse patient population spanning across multiple states and regions within a 10-bed pediatric unit Care for medical patients on the pediatric unit, consulting on pediatric patients in the emergency department, consulting on surgical patients, and caring for newborn infants who do not require NICU-level care Top 100 Hospital in US named by Premier, Inc. Only hospital in Idaho designated as "Expert" for Pediatric Care Readiness (Idaho Emergency Medical Services for Children, 2024) Established Support Network Pediatric physician staff include both pediatric intensivists and neonatologists as part of the Pediatrix team Additional pediatric sub-specialists representing pediatric neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, surgery, and anesthesia. Child life specialist, pediatric nutritionists, and physical therapists Additional Information about EIRMC 318-bed hospital Level II Trauma center Regional Burn Center 6-Bed Pediatric PICU 26-bed Level III Neonatal ICU 1200 deliveries per year Additional Opportunities for Advancement & Research EIRMC has an active family medicine residency with residents rotating through the inpatient pediatric and newborn care services. Opportunity for faculty appointment with the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine Pediatrix is established as one of the largest pediatric medical groups, with affiliations in research and advanced data There are growth opportunities for the pediatric hospitalist within the areas of quality and process improvement projects, and clinical research of a unique patient population.   • Board Certified Pediatrics

  • Board Certified Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred but not required
  • Experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serve a diverse patient population spanning across multiple states and regions within a 10-bed pediatric unit
  • Care for medical patients on the pediatric unit
  • Consulting on pediatric patients in the emergency department
  • Consulting on surgical patients
  • Caring for newborn infants who do not require NICU-level care
  • Residents rotating through the inpatient pediatric and newborn care services.
