About The Position

Pediatrix is seeking an experienced Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead and support inpatient pediatric services at our community hospital. This role combines clinical practice with physician leadership, offering the opportunity to shape high-quality pediatric care while maintaining a balanced schedule. Medical Director Role Overview: The Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director will provide clinical coverage while partnering with hospital leadership to ensure excellence in pediatric inpatient care. Requirements

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Leadership or Directorship experience
  • Eligible for OH Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Morning rounding
  • Out-of-house call with a 30-minute response time
  • Attendance at deliveries as requested
  • Performance of newborn circumcisions
  • Arrangement of patient stabilization and coordination of transport when needed
  • Serve as the clinical leader for pediatric hospitalist services
  • Promote evidence-based care and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, OB services, nursing, and care teams
  • Support a culture of safety, professionalism, and family-centered care
