About The Position

This position is responsible for the conduct, organization, and coordination of granted projects awarded to the department. The role involves identifying and developing processes and partnerships to meet the priorities of the grant project, working collaboratively with team members to implement grant-related processes, and monitoring project progress, finances, and reporting. Requirements

  • Master's degree in epidemiology, sciences, public health, social work, nursing or related field of study.
  • Two (2) years of grant program management experience.
  • In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Office Equipment (copier/fax).
  • Proficient Computer Skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Data Entry and Mathematical skills.
  • Proficient at project management, budgeting, program development, review and evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • Human Research Subjects Protection certification preferred; if not certified, candidate required to get certification as part of orientation to the department.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily operation and program compliance with funders and key regulatory groups.
  • Monitors compliance with grant requirements.
  • Organizes and maintains data from a variety of sources and formats as well as being aware of detail, accuracy and security.
  • Ensures proper budgeting and expenditure to meet grant deliverables and reporting.
  • Collaborates with investigators on research design and implementation, data collection, and analysis to evaluate priorities of the grant.
  • Assists in submission of studies stemming from the grant to the IRB.
  • Assists with all aspects of manuscript and publication efforts.
  • Aware of needs of community outreach to achieve goal of the project.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
