Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state dental license and certification in pediatric dentistry (if applicable)
• Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and their families
• Compassionate, patient, and able to create a welcoming environment for young patients
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of current dental practices, tools, and safety protocols
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat dental issues in pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
• Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
• Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and sealants
• Monitor growth and development of children's teeth and jaws, providing guidance on orthodontic needs if applicable
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Collaborate with dental team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education and professional development
