Seattle Children’s is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Dentist to provide comprehensive oral health care to a diverse population of infants, children, and adolescents, specifically those with complex medical conditions, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges. This role operates within the Seattle Children’s Dental Clinic, Emergency Department, Inpatient areas, and the Operating Rooms, ensuring high-quality surgical and preventative care for patients who cannot be safely treated in a traditional dental setting. In addition to clinical practice, this position serves as an Affiliate Faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, providing clinical training and education to pediatric dentistry residents. Seattle Children’s Dental Clinic is a leader in managing dental care for children with special healthcare needs. We specialize in patients up to age 16 who have been referred to for conditions such as intractable epilepsy, hematologic disorders, neuromuscular disorders, craniofacial conditions, and severe behavioral problems. Oral health is essential for overall health; many of our patients must be infection-free to undergo life-saving medical treatments like bone marrow transplants or cardiac surgery. We serve as the primary dental home for children who cannot receive primary dental care in community clinic settings and provide 24/7 emergency consultations for dental trauma and infections.
