Requirements

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
Valid state dental license and certification in pediatric dentistry (if applicable)
Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and their families
Compassionate, patient, and able to create a welcoming environment for young patients
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of current dental practices, tools, and safety protocols
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose, and treat dental issues in pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and sealants
Monitor growth and development of children's teeth and jaws, providing guidance on orthodontic needs if applicable
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Collaborate with dental team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education and professional development
