About The Position
Carle Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Intensivist to join their established Pediatric ICU program in Urbana, Illinois. The opportunity is at Carle Foundation Hospital, a 509-bed Level I Trauma Center with Level III perinatal services. The role involves participation in a full-time Pediatric Sedation Service, where Pediatric Anesthesia covers most sedations, and Pediatric ICU physicians handle ASA III sedations. The facility boasts a new, state-of-the-art PICU with up to 10 beds, established Pediatric Hospitalist and Pediatric ICU services. The Pediatrics unit includes 18 private rooms, 8 isolation and protective environment beds, a fully equipped minor procedure room, family lounge, private child life area, and a teen recreation room. The position benefits from a strong referral base and a large network of Pediatric subspecialties. Ancillary staff such as pastoral services, child life specialists, and social services are available. There is also an opportunity for academics and/or research with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.

Responsibilities
- Provide critical care services within the Pediatric ICU program
