Union Position: No Department Details Come join our fast paced Foot and Ankle Clinic as a Patient Care Technician! Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm located at the South University Hospital working 4 or 5 days a week. - Average 100 patients per day in clinic, very fast paced - Procedures vary from ingrown toenails to total joint replacements - Variety of patients including children, athletes, diabetics, post operative, etc. - Paired with a provider and a nurse to work together - Learning environment - Primary duties: rooming patients, obtaining vitals, ensuring patient rooms are stocked and cleaned, and assisting the nurses and providers as needed Summary The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs basic patient care services and supports activities within ambulatory services. Patient Care Technicians are multi-skilled to provide expanded services under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional. Requirements

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum of six months’ experience preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months from the date of initial employment.
