About The Position

Primary Purpose: Responsible for the accurate changing, inspection, lifting and cleaning of all screens associated with the Process Cheese Filling area. Screen changes should be efficiently performed to maintain line efficiency. The Equipment Cleaner has responsibility for housekeeping throughout the department and provides relief on production lines as the need arises. Days and shift times vary.

Requirements

  • Basic math, reading and communication.
  • Must be able to master computers and other production equipment.
  • Able to acquire Fork Truck License.
  • Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead
  • Lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 55 pounds
  • Holds and grips objects, must possess manual dexterity vital to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantles, cleans, and reassembles assigned equipment according to Kraft sanitation procedures.
  • Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the department.
  • Salvages product from screens keeping separate good cheese from bad.
  • Help with production as needed.
  • Responsible for all documentation associated with job.
  • Responsible for inspection and follow up with sanitation and maintenance items.
  • Relieves other personnel as needed.
  • Reports and/or corrects unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Trains new or inexperienced associates.
  • Performs pre-startup procedures.
  • Follows Kraft GMP’s.
  • Actively participates in and takes part in QCMS.
  • Always wears and uses proper protective equipment.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Line Leader.
  • Must maintain processing equipment by applying the IL6S system and settings.
  • Must attend DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
  • Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
  • Will be required to be involved in improvement opportunities (IL6S) teams.
  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
  • Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.
