About The Position

The Entry Level Layout Designer will own the end-to-end PCB (printed circuit board) design process from layout to manufacturing preparation for our core RF and Microwave products. This role works closely with the engineering team to translate schematics to layouts including footprint design for new components, component placement, high frequency design, power and digital circuitry, VIA placement and more. Designs will conform to X-Microwave best practices and culminate in peer review and panelization in preparation for manufacturing. The primary tools used will be Keysight ADS design software and CAD based software for manipulation and panelization layout files to be sent out for manufacturing.

Requirements

• 1+ years of directly related experience
• Experience with PCB layout and panelization of designs

Nice To Haves

• SolidWorks 3D design experience a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• PCB layout for RF and microwave drop-in components
• Translation of schematics and component placement for high performance designs
• Quickly learning and conforming to X-Microwave best practices and platform requirements.
• Use of Keysight ADS design software or equivalent
• Team player, working in collaboration with other layout designers, engineers, and management
• Creatively solve technical challenges in cost effective ways
• Contribute lessons learned and improvements to the X-MWsystem.
• Maintain positive relationships as part of a growing team
• Keep up with the fast-paced culture of a startup
