About The Position

A PCA Coach trains students in a sport from a Christian perspective while following all school and league regulations. The Coach will teach, motivate, and lead students in a safe and structured environment and will communicate regularly with parents and the Athletic Director. The ministry began in 1954 with Pensacola Christian Academy and has grown significantly, dedicated to excellence as a Christian educational institution that glorifies Christ and trains young people to serve God, while also committed to service.

Requirements

College Degree
1+ years in coaching
Must be born-again Christians
Must be dedicated to training young people for serving God
Must desire to educate students based on biblical values
Must be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge
Applicants must agree with Pensacola Christian College’s Mission, Purpose & Objectives, Doctrinal Position, Philosophy of Education, and Faculty & Staff Commitments
An assessment may be required to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

Stay current with various practice techniques and game plays
Prepare practical and efficient practices that consistently enforce safe game play
Provide skill development sessions which include core and position specific skills as well as game understanding
Devise and implement strategies to help individual players improve
Promote character development in students by teaching Bible-based life principles through coaching and personal example
Seek ways to develop players both on and off the field
Maintain accurate records according to established guidelines and procedures
Comply with PCA guidelines regarding coaching duties and assignments
Communicate regularly with players and parents
Communicate with Athletic Director, resolving scheduling conflicts and reporting progress of team and individual athletes
