The Faculty of Engineering is seeking an experienced and highly motivated PC2 Laboratory Operations and Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to oversee and lead the operational and safety functions of our Physical Containment Level 2 (PC2) laboratory facilities. PC2 labs are designed for work with moderate-risk biological materials that require controlled access, specialised safety equipment, and strict protocols to protect staff, students, and the environment. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will deliver expert operational support while driving change and shaping the Faculty’s HSW culture and strategy, including supporting the needs of Companies on Campus as required. In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a range of programs, including: Planning, managing, and delivering high-quality laboratory operations and HSW programs. Developing and implementing protocols, procedures, and testing frameworks. Providing expert advice, guidance, and training to staff, students, and industry partners. Leading projects, managing resources, reporting, and supporting business development initiatives. Chairing or contributing to the Faculty PC2 Labs Steering Committee and HSW Committee to ensure professional and high-level service delivery.
