About The Position

The PC Technician provides comprehensive IT support services to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO), Eastern District of North Carolina. This role supports day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring reliable performance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure while delivering high-quality customer support to end users.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship (required)
High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT support experience
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems and common applications
Ability to provide professional, customer-focused support
Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in a government or legal environment
Familiarity with network administration and cybersecurity practices
Basic scripting or web content management experience
Experience with property or asset management systems

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems
Support network operations including routers, switches, and servers
Perform system maintenance, updates, and patch management
Diagnose and resolve recurring technical issues for end users
Assist with system administration and network monitoring activities
Provide user training and guidance on standard applications and systems
Support telecommunications systems, including teleconferencing tools
Maintain and manage file systems, directories, and access permissions
Assist in cybersecurity efforts, including monitoring compliance with security protocols
Support basic web/intranet updates using HTML/XML as needed
Track and manage IT equipment and property records
Coordinate installation, relocation, and inventory of IT assets
Generate reports and assist with data analysis and documentation
