Requirements

High School Grad or Equiv (Required)

Responsibilities

Contacts key personnel after hours as needed.
Maintains an operational call log of all activities, requests, and issues.
Cultivates accurate knowledge of hospital disaster codes and announces them efficiently according to procedure.
Projects a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Maintains a courteous and professional manner when answering calls.
Demonstrates skill and proficiency when executing overhead announcements.
Forwards calls promptly to proper departments, patient rooms, or staff as necessary.
Understands and responds to all codes and alarm systems.
Updates and maintains all on call lists for staff when notified of changes.
