About The Position

The P. B. X Operator use the communication process to communicate
with the public, hospital staff, and physicians. The P. B. X. Operator must have
the ability to deal with the public in a caring and reassuring manner. The
Operator will receive all incoming calls to the hospital and direct these calls
to the appropriate area quickly and accurately. Responsible for having full
knowledge of executing job responsibilities as directed in the training manual.
The P. B. X. Operator will work 72/80 per pay period, in an eight- hour shift
with rotation of weekends required. The Operator is responsible for assisting
with the orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to
unit. Must work in a relate in a professional non-defensive manner with peers,
physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. Completion of yearly
mandatory educations is non-negotiable and will be the responsibility of
employee to complete as assigned in HealthStream. Works any assigned duties
given by manager or Director without complaint.
