About The Position

This position requires the person to be the operator for the hotel incoming phone lines. The PBX Operator/Rooms Coordinator is responsible for being professional, friendly, and helpful and takes guests requests and makes reservations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a customer service role. (Hospitality experience is a plus!)
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls within three rings in a friendly, efficient manner that promotes a positive image of the hotel.
  • Handle mostly guest in-house and external calls
  • Respond to guest and internal email inquiries in a timely manner
  • Work with sales coordinator on rooming assignment and group needs
  • Balance room inventory daily and weekly
  • Ensure VIP and Elite loyalty members have room upgrades and amenities.
  • Work with guest on amenity packages and set up with rooms with amenity guest have request prior to arrival.
  • Complete daily Consortia adjustment
  • Send Sertif to travel agency and guest who request
  • Create Welcome Bags for Chase and Capital One Guest
  • Place work orders and guest requests in Quore
  • Partner with housekeeping on prioritized rooms
  • Assist with maintaining daily VIP report and Service Recovery log.
  • Help with Pre-Reg/Pre-Key group arrivals.
  • Assist at Front Desk as needed.
