The Calaveras County Office of Education ("CCOE") partners with our four local school districts and the community to provide quality education to our county's 5,270 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. We manage alternative education programs for students at Calaveras River Academy, Mountain Oaks Charter School (an Independent Study program), and Oakendell Community School. We also offer adult education services, and a variety of special education services as the Responsible Local Agency ("RLA") for the Special Education Local Plan Area ("SELPA"); including, five special education preschool programs and a program for transition-aged young adults (ages 18-22). CCOE is now hiring for a variety of full and part-time positions, whether serving in the classroom or supporting operations outside of the classroom. Requirements

  • Letter of Introduction (Formal Letter of Interest)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three Required; preferably from former employers or supervisors)
  • Proof of HS Graduation
  • Resume (Payroll Technician I: One or more years of increasingly responsible payroll accounting experience, preferably in public schools.; or, Payroll Technician II: Two or more years of increasingly responsible payroll accounting experience, preferably in public schools; or, Payroll Technician III: Three or more years of increasingly responsible payroll accounting experience, preferably in public schools.)
  • All employment with the Calaveras County Office of Education is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to fingerprinting and verification of negative tuberculosis.
