Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Payroll
  • Proficiency in SAP and/or ADP GlobalView
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including advanced Excel formula knowledge
  • Payroll tax experience and compliance knowledge
  • Progressive Payroll and/or Payroll Tax background
  • Experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll, including locals and SIT reciprocity
  • Proven customer service skills with a focus on confidentiality
  • Ability to partner effectively with teams across corporate and operations levels

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Supervisory experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payroll tax - ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax setup, filing, and remittance.
  • Process payroll in SAP with accuracy and attention to detail; manage GL entries, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Research and resolve payroll tax amendments and agency inquiries; monitor changes in payroll tax laws and compliance.
  • Manage vendor and regulatory relationships to ensure proper handling of tax obligations and timely resolution of notices.
  • Partner with stakeholders on payroll tax projects, audits, W2 preparation, and process improvements.
  • Support broader Payroll Team initiatives, mentor peers, and provide training on payroll tax topics.
  • Handle payroll accounting in SAP - reconcile payroll to bank statements, GL, and balance sheet accounts; support monthly financial close.
