Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent experience) OR Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally and effectively to employee inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
Solid understanding of payroll processes, employee benefits, and compensation methodologies.
Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills; team-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning

Experience with union time entry and collective bargaining agreements is desired.

Responsibilities

Oversee payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage payroll systems, including security and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with payroll laws, regulations, and company policies.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and support.
Oversee preparation of payroll tax filings and regulatory reports.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters.
Drive process improvements and maintain documentation for payroll procedures.
