About The Position

Payroll Specialist/HRBP II plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing various aspects of HR functions. This position involves a combination of administrative tasks, payroll processing, employee relations, recruitment, and HR program coordination. The Payroll Specialist/HRBP works closely with HR leadership to ensure the smooth and effective operation of HR processes within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, preferred.
  • Two years’ proven experience as an HRBP/Specialist or in a similar HR role.
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Available to work 100% onsite.
  • U.S. Citizenship and are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UKG AutoTime and ADP Vantage preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, including new hires, terminations and compensation changes.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for internal teams as required.
  • Manage payroll taxes, deductions and benefit contributions accurately and on schedule.
  • Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Support recruitment process including the onboarding activities.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support when necessary.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and ensure timely processing of benefits documentation.
  • Collaborate as needed with external vendors to support employees with benefit enrollment matters and/or changes.
  • HR Compliance:
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in conducting audits to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Training and Development:
  • Support the development and implementation of employee training during onboard.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain HR databases and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Generate and report HR metrics.
  • HR Program Coordination:
  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to execute employee engagement and wellness programs.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of HR processes.
  • New hire onboarding initiatives, including the introduction to CPI EDB culture.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
