Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a mid-size or large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage & hour rules.
  • Experience with leading payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and service orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-state payroll experience.
  • Familiarity with HRIS integrations and payroll reporting tools.
  • CPP or FPC certification (or actively pursuing certification).

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for assigned employee groups with precision and confidentiality.
  • Review timecards, deductions, benefits, bonuses, and adjustments to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, troubleshoot discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to address payroll-related questions and provide excellent service.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll systems and processes.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
